Pockets by Daniels review

I am reviewing a short CGI film called Pockets. This film was made by Daniels. The first thing that grabs my attention when watching this movie is when he is on the phone with his girlfriend and he looks down the tunnel at the man in the tunnel. The technology blurs the image of the man in the background while the main character quickly walks toward him. Music also starts playing, increasing the suspense of the situation. The lighting is bright in the background and dark where the main character is, this allows for us to see distinctive features of the main character because of the way the light shines on the character.

CGI was used very well when the pockets man was fighting back against the main character it looked very realistic and it was surprising to the watcher. It was a very creative way to use CGI as it is usually used to create characters. Another scene CGI was used well in was the pockets fight scene This scene must have been hard to create due to the amount of CGI that had to be used for each punch. I believe these scenes were created by filming a hand and using it to look like it was coming out of the characters pockets.

In this movie you feel suspense, fear, humor, and happiness. The technology is advanced enough to make it seem real, causing the stronger feelings. There is also music that changes based on what the movie wants you to be feeling. The colors also change depending on the mood from dimly lit to well lit areas.

Overall I thought the video was very well done and the CGI was very convincing and realistic. The Daniels obviously put a lot of time and effort into this project and the end result was very good.

Massimo_Zuanazzi

Massimo_Zuanazzi I chose to research Massimo_Zuanazzi because I really found his robot style very cool. I was amazed by the detail and the different renders. It was amazing to see the robot change from looking like a drawing to looking like something you would find in a factory. This person has worked as a architect, sci fi designer, and 3d comic designer. He does not mention who he worked for however. He says he is currently looking for a job as a hard surface designer. This designer does mainly robotic and sci fi blends. He is making the art as a portfolio for job interviews and for fun. Massimo does not have a big portfolio on blender artists, but I was amazed about how high quality all of the work was and how much detail was put into all of the projects. His work uses a lot of grey and black with lights that are usually a lighter color. This allows the lights to stand out and create the sci- fi future effect. His designs also have very smooth edges so everything looks like it is...
